U.S. President Donald Trump reportedly threatened Iran with a massive wave of up to 100 airstrikes tonight, according to Fox News.

The threat comes after the United States was earlier reported to have carried out strikes inside Iran, with alleged attacks targeting civilian locations in Bandar Abbas, Qeshm and Lavan Island.

Iran, which had previously warned Washington against continuing attacks on its economic infrastructure, has now threatened what it described as a dangerous and severe retaliation.

The situation marks a further escalation in the rapidly intensifying confrontation between the United States and Iran, raising fears of an even wider military response in the region.
