REPORT: RUSSIA ACCUSED OF HELPING IRAN DEVELOP SUPERSONIC MISSILE TECHNOLOGY

A new Financial Times investigation reports that Russia has allegedly provided Iran with assistance in developing ramjet propulsion technology, a key component that could potentially be used in the development of future supersonic cruise missiles.

According to the report, the technology could eventually enable Iran to develop faster, longer-range weapons capable of striking both naval vessels and land-based targets, including potential U.S. military positions and warships operating in the Gulf region.

The reported cooperation could represent a significant expansion of military and technological ties between Moscow and Tehran, particularly as both countries seek to strengthen their defense capabilities amid growing tensions with the United States and its allies.

⚠️ However, there is currently no confirmed evidence that Iran possesses an operational supersonic cruise missile developed through the reported Russian-Iranian cooperation. The extent of Russia’s assistance and the current stage of any Iranian missile program remain unclear.
