RESPONSE TO HON DAVIES MWILA ON HIS CALL FOR DIALOGUE BETWEEN THE PRESIDENT AND THE BM8 TEAM.

Hon Mwila Sir, your call for Dialogue is very much welcome and every well meaning Zambian is looking forward to a prosperous and united zambia. Sir allow me to give you a brief background on this matter.

Before the Church was even engaged senior stuff in the Presidency were open to the idea of dialogue had your team come with clean hands, we can’t be calling for dialogue while Giving the President conditions No!! We can’t be asking for dialogue that clearly seams like an arm twisting tactic on the President.

I personally spoke to senior members of the BM8 team to try and facilitate a seat down with some senior stuff in the Presidency who would in the end facilitate for a meeting with the head of state to dialogue on the just ended elections.

To my surprise the senior colleagues from the BM8 camp seemed so convinced that the UN would arm twist the President into bending to some demands that had Been put on the table by the BM8 camp. At that point all efforts got frustrated because clearly colleagues didn’t come to equity with clean hands No. They came with demands that clearly undermined the Presidency and its authority.

The essence of dialogue is to find a lasting solution to the current political standoff in the country, clearly before any meeting is held one has to recognize that we only have one head of state and the fact that time for elections is over. then certain responsibilities must be taken and accepted.

For as long as the BM8 team continues making demands that are aimed at undermining the Presidency and its authority forget about dialogue. Let certain colleagues in your camp swallow their pride and reach out through well established channels with humility to the Presidency and ask for a meeting.

Insulting the President by bloggers who are also BM8 sympathizers is very wrong and won’t help in anyway. Mind you Zambia is a sovereign Nation and trust me no amount of foreign interference can arm twist the President in to making an unconstitutional decision. For now what can help is humility and respect towards one another especially from the losing side.

He who comes to equity must come with clean hands and not demands. Never give the President Demands but peacefully and humbly request in a respectful manner as you dialogue then leave it up to him and his team to digest and respond.
