A 15-year-old girl in Monze’s Malama village has reportedly been sexually abused by her 60-year-old biological father who has since been arrested.

Facts indicate that around 19:00 hours on 28th August, 2026, the suspect instructed his 40-year-old wife and children to go inside the house to sleep, while he remained outside by the fireplace.

Around 21:00 hours after being woken by her crying two-year-old son, the mother went to the girls’ bedroom to check if her eight-year-old daughter was covered in a blanket.

It was then that she found the victim in a compromised state, without her lower garments, and noticed signs of recent sexual activity.

Upon searching the dark room, the mother encountered her husband, who suspiciously claimed he was in the room to kill ants.

The mother subsequently took the victim to her elder brother’s house, where she disclosed that her father had sexually assaulted her.

Southern Province Commissioner of Police, Moono Namalongo, says the victim was then taken to the clinic for a medical examination, with a medical report form issued.
